Actively regenerating the Murray Darling Basin

Nunyara is a family-owned agricultural asset management company overseeing a diverse property portfolio in the Murray Darling Basin of Eastern Australia.

Our focus areas are land, water, carbon and biodiversity.

The Rangelands

Covering approximately 81% of Australia's landmass, the rangelands, often referred to as the Outback, hold significant cultural and ecological importance.

These vast expanses are not only home to many Indigenous communities but also hold a special place in the hearts of most Australians.

The Murray Darling Basin

A system of interconnected rivers and lakes. More than 2.4 million people live in the Basin, including people from over 50 different First Nations. The Basin is also home to 16 internationally significant wetlands, 35 endangered species and 120 species of native and migratory birds.

The Murray–Darling Basin is Australia’s largest river system. Healthy rivers are important not just to the Basin, but to the whole country

Our Goals

  • Natural Capital & Biodiversity

The regeneration of ecosystems across a diverse portfolio of properties in the Murray Darling Basin.

  • Improved Production

The use of advanced land management methods and data-driven decision-making to optimise production.

  • Vibrant Communities

Engaged, vibrant and thriving regional communities through employment, training and on-country experiences.

Inspired by Nunyara, a Barngarla word for 'restore to health,' we strive to improve the health of the land we manage.
